The all-new Škoda Enyaq Coupé is set to grace New Zealand roads from late September and is ready to make a statement with dynamic looks and sporty, elegant lines.

First arrivals will fulfill initial Kiwi customer orders for both the Enyaq SUV and Coupé models. Škoda New Zealand says that for those seeking an even more emotive driving experience, Enyaq Coupé demonstrator vehicles will be available.

The dynamically designed four-door Enyaq Coupé is characterised by a roofline that gently slopes towards the rear from the B-pillar, merging with the tailgate that features a sharp trailing edge. The vehicle’s lines are further accentuated by a dark tinted panoramic glass roof, that is the largest in the current Škoda range. Škoda says the incoming light makes the interior feel airy and as it is thinner than a full roof, it provides passengers with plenty of headroom, and with its special coating, means the temperature inside remains pleasant at all times.

From the side, 20" alloy wheels and body-coloured side skirts emphasise the car’s sleek appearance. A sporty front apron provides another unique touch. This variant features the Crystal Face as standard – with 131 LEDs illuminating the Škoda grille’s vertical ribs and horizontal light strip.

The Enyaq Coupé interior is available exclusively in Sportline trim, and is all about black sports styling. Sportline design features are visible in the dark roof lining and the Suedia-upholstered sports seats with integrated headrests; the grey decorative stitching adds contrast to the seats and can also be found on the three-spoke leather multifunction sports steering wheel. The steering wheel is heated, offers paddles for selecting the various recuperation levels, and bears a Sportline badge. Key vehicle functions can be operated intuitively using the 13-inch central infotainment screen. The 5.3-inch digital cockpit is supplemented by a head-up display with augmented reality that allows the driver to keep an eye on the most important driving data and information on the vehicle status at all times.

The Enyaq Coupé is available in a 150kW powertrain with rear-wheel-drive and is equipped with an 82kWh battery (net: 77 kWh). Thanks to its outstanding aerodynamics, the new Coupé is even more efficient than the Enyaq SUV. Škoda’s first all-electric Coupé can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 8.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 160km/h. The rear wheel drive model has a towing capacity for a braked trailer weighing up to 1,000kg.

Due to its composition and long wheelbase, the MEB platform opens up new possibilities regarding body proportions and design. As the voltage battery is fully incorporated in the underbody and electric vehicles don’t have a transmission tunnel, the space available for rear-seat passengers is also particularly generous. The Enyaq Coupé’s boot measures a spacious 570-litres.

Škoda New Zealand says the Enyaq Coupé offers a high level of active and passive safety, just like the Enyaq SUV. It has been awarded the highest-possible rating of five stars in the Euro NCAP crash safety reference tests and was named the safest vehicle in its category.

The new Škoda Enyaq Coupé offers a head-up display with augmented reality as standard. This projects information for the driver onto two different areas on the windscreen so they don't have to take their eyes off the road. The Coupé ’s speed, navigation instructions and information from the assistance systems are displayed just above the dashboard in clear view. Higher up on the windscreen, in the projection zone for augmented reality, larger symbols such as directional arrows from the navigation system are displayed and virtually projected onto the road ahead.

New features include information regarding the distances for the next change in direction and navigation instructions for roundabouts, as well as the remaining distance to the destination and the battery charge level. Via the infotainment system menu, the driver can adjust the position of the display area on the windscreen, set the colour and brightness, and select what information is shown. The Enyaq Coupé is also equipped with up to nine airbags.

The new Enyaq Coupé enables zero-emission individual mobility and low running costs. The Škoda electric ecosystem and ChargeNet make it possible to use hundreds of charging points across New Zealand with just a single fob. Škoda New Zealand supports charging at home through its partnership with Evnex, a leading New Zealand manufacturer and installer of smart EV chargers who will provide a seamless charging experience for all Škoda electric vehicles.
